I’ve always loved playing solo against AI-controlled bots in all the official modes — unlocking weapon parts bit by bit, earning XP, and buying the Game Pass from time to time.
This time, though, I had decided not to buy Battlefield 6, especially after seeing how the developers behaved with Battlefield 2042 — cutting XP gains when playing solo or in Portal servers against bots... a pile of restrictions in favor of PvE mode.
However, DICE had assured that with the new Portal, if you chose a verified mode, you would still earn XP and regular progression even when playing against bots, just like in PvE. That’s what convinced me to buy it.
But if now, because of XP farm servers, they decide once again to apply measures that penalize players like me — who enjoy playing solo against bots, even with slow progression — then I’d immediately demand a refund!
Maybe it’s too early to say, but being treated like this a second time would be unacceptable.
