PS5 completely crashing while playing BF6

Hello,

Not sure if anybody else is experiencing this but after around 20-30 minutes of playing BF6 multiplayer my PS5 is completely crashing and the only way to turn it back on is to unplug and re plug the power source, this is only happening with BF6 and I was able to play the beta extensively with no crashing issues. I have also recently cleaned my PS5 so I am fairly confident its not an overheating issue as there is also no warning message.

Anybody know a fix or having the same issue?

  • Btw during the beta i’ve played for hours and this never happened, but now with the full game its every 2/3 games

  • I’m having the same issues on my Xbox Series X. No other games are crashing after hours of playing. Console is spotless internally and externally. BF6 is the only game that’s crashing it.

  • Yeah i got the same issue, its not overheating, no overheating message, console cleaned recently… every game is working fine, apparently battlefield 6 keeps crashing, even other titles of battlefield work fine, so its a game issue…

Please let me know if that works for you

  • I don’t think it’s over heating. Mine keeps crashing as well. I was just reading a post on Reddit how this was happening to some people during the beta. Ig it’s only a ps5 from what I was reading. I cleaned my ps5 thoroughly and still happened. I have never had this issue, not to say it can’t ever happen but it seems weird that it has crash 3 times playing this game for about 2 1/2 hours. I’m not upset because it’s the games launch so these things need to be ironed out but it’s very annoying. I might try deleting and reinstalling the game.

This is 100% still overheating. Either clean the fan and heatsinks inside the console really well yourself or get this done professionally. Once really clean you should be good to go for a few months. Smoking in the room actually makes this worse as the dust/lint gets 'sticky'.
