Forum Discussion
Hi everyone,
We’re trying to gather more information about the situation here, where mouse look might feel less smooth than expected, even when the game’s framerate seems fine.
Some players have mentioned that:
- Mouse look feels less smooth than movement with WASD
- Mouse look feels less smooth than looking around with a controller
- Overall, mouse movement feels choppier than your FPS would suggest
If this sounds familiar, it would be very helpful if you could share a few details about your setup:
Please include the following if possible:
- PC Specs: CPU / GPU / RAM / Storage type (SSD/HDD)
- Monitor: Resolution & refresh rate
- Keyboard: Model, any related software installed, polling rate, and whether it has any mode-switching features
- Mouse: Model, any related software installed, polling rate, and if it has any mode-switching features
- Controllers: Any gamepads or similar devices connected
- Other USB Devices: Anything else plugged in that might affect inputs (USB hubs, stream decks, headsets with drivers, etc.)
Thanks in advance. This kind of detail really helps us narrow down what might be going on.
All of those mouse issues are exactly what I've been having every once and a while. It's not every single match, but it will be a few of them in a row than be fixed for a day or so. Today, however, it got even worse where the game would stop taking any mouse or keyboard input at all, then after a few seconds the game would register all the missed inputs within a second or so.
My specs:
-5900x and 3080ti, 32gb ram on an m.2 SSD
-AOC AG276QZD 1440p 240hz OLED
-Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Chroma V2 wired with Razer Synapse, no polling rate or mode switching I am aware of
-G Pro Superlight Wireless 2, 2k polling rate (changing the polling rate does not seem to help)
-No active controllers connected while playing, however I do use one from time to time. It has not been on while playing BF6
-Scarlett Solo audio interface for my Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro headphones
-HyperX QuadCast 2 microphone through USB
