Random Abrupt Patches of Glitchy Artifacts

When I am idling in BF6's main menu, I've been getting what I described in this thread's title.

The patches are random in both timing and placement, and rather large. If anyone else has had visual artifacting in-game, or knows someone who does, please leave a reply here so I know it's not just me.

I've swapped GPU's and CPU's, still getting this issue regardless. Even bought a new CPU thinking my CPU was dying, but I am still getting these glitchy patches of static.

List of hardware I've had this occur with:
CPU: Ryzen 3200g, 5800x3D, 5800XT

GPU: Rx 6700XT, Rx 7900XT

Additional info:

EA ID/Steam ID: MEGAF4IL
OS Version: Windows 11 25H2
GPU: AMD Rx 7900XT
GPU Driver: Adrenaline 25.9.2
Date/time issue occurred? October 13th-15th
Summarize your bug: Random abrupt patches of glitchy visuals, regardless of hardware.
What type of issue do you have? Visual bug. Idling too long in the main menu results in a system crash as the visual bug worsens until the crash.
In which mode has this happened? Main Menu.
Any other errors? N/A

your not alone with these random patch's but never had a crash

  • I want to add that my AMD Adrenaline Software is also crashing/closing automatically on me while I play Battlefield 6.

Even after re-launching my AMD Adrenaline Software mid-game, it still closes automatically with no warnings of any kind.

  • Still getting this issue with the latest AMD Adrenaline drivers, 25.10.2

Same here. I’ve got a 9060XT brand new and i thought it’s defective, also tried a 3060gtx and still have the visual artifacts. It’s not just on you… unfortunately sometimes it’s unplayable and it’s very random.
If an error occurs in my end it fs the graphics driver so hard to crash it that i need to reinstall the grp driver everytime, otherwise the game has fps drops like crazy. I play on 2k rez between 120-150fps, if i don’t reinstall the driver it goes under 60. And the glitching persists for me too, seen it in the pause menu and very few artifacts in game

  • For anyone else having the same issues I described with this post, do you have any of AMD's Quick Replay/Record & Stream features enabled? If so, please specify which of those you're using, for the sake of narrowing down the cause of the problem we're having.

Highlighted below are relevant Known Issues from the patch notes for AMD's 25.10.2 Adrenaline drivers

  • I reverted to AMD Adrenaline version 25.9.2 and all my issues have disappeared.

Graphical Glitches in BF6 menus are non-existent on AMD Adrenaline 25.9.2 - as well as the rest of the issues I was having on any currently existing versions after 25.9.2

  • I'm getting them in the game (not menus), since last update - it's happened twice. Big bold strokes of brown over the whole screen ... on (two of) the brown maps. I have a 9070xt and they're the kind of artifacts you see when your GPU is on it's way out - but it's brand new (well, just after BF6 release) - and today my system just shut down when I turned the monitors on (I had VLC open) - I've read that windows installed a newer driver for the amd igpu and that is causing some people problems if they're using the igpu for a second monitor but I don't know. I've been team green for so long and went red this time but it's just one thing after another- I'm hoping it's all BF6 issues and/or AMD driver issues and not the card - and no I don't use replay or any of that stuff in adrenaline. It's so frustrating - the amount we pay, you just expect things to work and not to have to check 50 things, including game issues to nail down a problem. I was using 25.10.1 and after my pc shut down I've upgraded to 25.11.1 Anyway, anyone with a 9070xt using 25.9.2 at 165hz,getting smooth, high frames in BF6? I might just install that one - seems the consensus is that was the last stable driver. I'm so sick of having to mess around, having my time wasted.
