Season 2 Battlepass tier skips wrongly applied to season 3 Battlepass

So what happened is - in the final days of season 2, being a gamer-dad I realised I was going to run out of time and not be able to complete the final battlepass path. I was sitting at tier 3 of 7 in the second last path (Ultimate) and the final path (Prestige) had 10 tiers in it - so 14 tiers left that I was not going to be able to get done in time. I was embarrassed about it and it brought shame to me and my family. But anyway, I decided I really wanted that final reward of 200 coins because it was going to bring me up from 950 to 1150 coins so I would be able to pay for season 3 battlepass.

So - a couple of hours before S2 ended I bouight some extra coins (to make sure I had enough to purchase tier skips and also S3 battlepass afterwards) and purchased a 10 tier skip to apply and did it. This finished off the remaining 4 tiers in Ultimate path I was missing but nothing carried over into the Prestige path... so 6 tier skips gone? I decided to restart PC and game etc and still nothing. So I thought I'd just buy the other 5 tier skip I was going to buy to complete the 14 I'm missing overall (with one wasted) and apply it and maybe that will trigger the other 6 that should have applied 10 minutes before. So I did this and still nothing unlocked in the Prestige pass. So yeah... 11 tier skips gone?

I then contacted EA support and had a chat and they were saying all should be ok and other people are having similar issues but that the rewards will apply at some stage. Just give it some time.

So in the meantime I pre-purchased S3 battlepass and S3 begins a couple hours later. I do notice at some point I got some tier skips at the start of S3 but just kind of figured maybe the pre-purchasing of the battlepass granted some skips or something but wasn't sure and didn't pay much attention to it and I don't even know how many skips there were. But I just kept my eye on my battlefield coins amount and waited for that extra 200 to appear... which never did.

Anyway, a week later I get in touch because still nothing and I get told it will be sorted soon and this went on for the next couple of weeks up to today where I was just on a support chat with them where we realised the tier skips applied at S3 start were the ones from S2. I said, ok that's fine - is there anyway we can reduce my current S3 progress by 10 tiers, take the rewards off me and grant me the S2 Prestige pass rewards that I paid for and then I will just re-earn the stuff in S3 that gets taken off me? And.. apparently not... this is because in their logs there was a 5-6hour delay between me applying 4 tier skips and then the rest so on their end it was as though I used the second lot of skips in season 3. Which I obviously didn't. I used a 10 tier skip and a 5 tier skip within 10-15 minutes of each other a couple hours before S2 ended. According to who I was chatting to they don't think there is a glitch or bug here so there is nothing that can be done even though I explained it definitely is a glitch at their end as it's not my fault the tier skips got applied with a 5-6hr delay.

I understand that in the end I still received tier skips but that is not the point as I don't need tier skips in S3 as I have time to work towards those. The whole point was to tier skip to the 200 coins in S2 which is now apparently not achievable to get unless it can be proven this was due to a glitch or bug.

In the end - the support guy recommended I post this issue in these forums to see if others had similar issues and if it can be shown there is a glitch or bug that's caused this.

Sorry for the long-winded post here fellow gamers... just wanted to chuck in as much info as I could.
