Secure boot killed my pc

Since there seems to be no other way to get ahold of EA support, I'll try this...

I recently purchased and installed Battlefield 6 on my PC. When trying to start the game, it notified me that I had to go into the bios and enable secure boot. It gave a link which I followed with instructions on how to do it. After working through the specified instructions, my computer shut down, and now will not boot back up. I've tried researching this and am seeing that it is happening to several people, but im not seeing a resolution! What am I supposed to do with this?!

Sounds like u clicked wrong button and doesn't boot up via SSD or hard drive ... Can I get in to BIOS menu ?  If so check what boot it is too start up

  • Make sure you have Secure Boot turned on in UEFI still; and ensure your boot is using UEFI and not Legacy (BIOS).
You cant Secure Boot in the Legacy BIOS mode.

  • 1ManClan please explain what you mean by will not boot back up.

Do you see anything on the screen? If yes, take a picture and post it here.

No, my computer wasnt communicating woth the monitor whatsoever. It was giving me some error lights on the motherboard that I had to research.

I figured out that, for some reason enabling secure boot sent my GPU spinning.

I ended up having to remove my card and boot using the integrated gpu.

    I finally got it working

Ok, I did check that, but I thought that both UEFI and Lagacy were ok.

Ill make that switch when I try to enable secure boot again.

    Thanks for the tip!

1ManClan what's your video card? Some older video cards don't support UEFI Graphics Output Protocol (GOP). Sometimes there's a firmware update for the video card to add support.
