Nope.
The new account works perfect.
My old account started working again. and then stopped working and still isn't working. the new account still works - ItsBMoney4 months agoNew Traveler
This is INSANITY. I have not been able to play the game i have paid £60 for, for 3 days now.
I have reached out to multiple support techs through the support chat function.
All i get is copy pasted articles from them and unwillingness to help.
EA go OUT OF THEIR WAY to mitigate user interaction or support. it is actually beyond me the amount of issues i have had relating to this authentication problem.
I wouldn't even mind if EA wiped my account and refunded me the money spent, But they just refuse outright to even log the problem. They don't even put this issue in their helpdesk. they do not care at all.
This is going to happen with all EA games that get released in the future and the problem will never be resolved.
I just wish i could talk to a member of staff about my problem, i just want to be able to talk to a literate human being who has the ability to look through my account details.
I have been forced to purchase a £16 a month subscription on a brand new account just so i can play this video game with my mates.
Any product or service you pay for has some sort of support channel in which you can raise issues. EA HAVE NON, literally NON.
We haven't even had a community manager respond to this thread.
FLAT OUT ignored. nothing, zero. not even a "We are looking into this" nothing on social media. its absolutely diabolical.
My next steps are to contact heads of departments via Linked IN. I have all scripts from reps and will be fighting this until my dying breath. - Mylittleprony4 months agoNew Veteran
A new account didn't even work for me. I made a new ea account and tried the game with ea play and not a change.

When you created the new account with EA Play, was that all done through the EA Desktop Application?
(no steam or EA website involvement?)
- Mylittleprony4 months agoNew Veteran
Correct all ea desktop app, nothing else

More good info being posted if anyone from EA would like to look at it and acknowledge

I had this issue during the beta. I made a new EA account and downloaded on the EA app and it worked flawlessly. Clearly an issue with my account. Except I preordered on Steam with my normal account because thats what I have played BF games on for 20 years. (account creation date of 6-24-2005)
I have 31hrs on the game on Steam. worked great. Figured it was just fixed. Went to log in today and I got the same error I got in the Beta. I have turned the earth over trying to figure this out and it is 100000% on the EA account side. Only they can fix it.
Steam will not refund me at this point, and if I want to play I guess I will have to buy a second copy to play on EA?
its total BS that this is an issue. Why does it work for 4 days and then break itself?
