I am being rerouted to servers in Chile, i live on the US east coast.
You can check for yourself by booting up a server thru portal and host an online lobby.
When there server boots up go to the ESC/Start menu and then go to settings.
In the lower right corner you should see what server you are connect to.
(Will look similar to the posted image but with your server)
