Two different Xbox gamertags appear linked to the same EA account
Hi, I am having a serious account issue in Battlefield 6 on Xbox and need help.
My brother and I appear to be linked to the same EA account, even though we are using two different Xbox gamertags.
I have attached screenshots from both of our profiles in Battlefield 6. One profile shows Danimals1776, and the other shows Velmatron841.
However, despite showing two different Xbox gamertags, the stats are exactly the same on both profiles. The career total, kills, K/D, revives, badges, and other profile data all appear identical.
Because of this, it seems like both Xbox accounts are tied to the same EA account and profile data.
This is causing a major problem: only one of us can be signed into Battlefield 6 at a time. We want to play together, but right now we cannot, because the game appears to treat us as the same EA-linked account.
This does not seem like a normal display bug. It appears to be an account-linking problem between Xbox and EA.
What I need help with:
- How do we determine which EA account is actually linked to each Xbox gamertag?
- How do we separate these accounts correctly so each of us has our own Battlefield 6 profile?
- Can this be fixed without losing progression, stats, unlocks, or weapon progress?
I am especially worried about losing progress, because a lot of time has already been put into this account.
Any help from EA staff would be greatly appreciated. We just want to be able to play Battlefield 6 together on our own accounts.
Customer service was not able to help me with this.
