Unable to Exit Controller Settings While in Map/Vehicle Selection Screen
🧾 Subject: Unable to Exit Controller Settings While in Vehicle Selection Screen (Multiplayer Mode)
Platform: PC (Windows 10/11)
Input Device: Xbox Controller
Game Version: Battlefield 6 (latest update, November 2025)
Reproducibility: Always
Issue Summary:
When accessing the controller settings during a multiplayer match from the vehicle selection/overview screen, I become stuck inside the controller settings menu. I can still navigate through the options using the controller or keyboard, but pressing B (on controller) or Escape (on keyboard) does not return me to the spawn screen or gameplay. The only way to exit is by using ALT + F4 to force-close the game.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Join any multiplayer match.
- On the spawn/overview map screen, where you select vehicles or soldier spawn points, highlight any vehicle icon.
- Press Start/Menu on the controller to open the pause/options menu.
- Go to Settings → Controller → Vehicle Driver (or any vehicle-specific controls).
- Try to go back to the spawn menu using B (controller) or Escape (keyboard).
Expected Result:
The menu should close and return to the spawn/overview screen or resume gameplay.
Actual Result:
The player becomes stuck inside the controller settings. Input still works for moving through menu options, but the back command is ignored. The game does not respond to B or Escape, and the only way to exit is ALT + F4.
Additional Notes:
- This happens consistently across multiple maps and sessions.
- It only occurs when the settings menu is opened from the vehicle selection/overview screen, not from gameplay.
- The issue persists even after resetting system configurations and testing on a clean setup.
Request:
Please investigate and patch this menu navigation bug. It causes players to get stuck in the controller settings menu during multiplayer matches, forcing a full game restart.
