Unjust Ban in Battlefield 2042 & Battlefield 6 EA Anti-Cheat System Is Failing

I’m writing this post because I believe EA’s anti-cheat system has gone completely out of control — it is punishing legitimate players while the real cheaters continue to roam free.

My Battlefield 2042 account was banned immediately after completing the tutorial match — the one where you fight AI bots. I hadn’t even finished the training, and the system flagged me for “gameplay enhancement” or using “unauthorized software.” I have never used any cheats, exploits, or third-party tools. It’s absurd that EA’s system cannot distinguish between a beginner playing the tutorial and someone actually breaking the rules.

Now, what’s even more shocking is what happened with Battlefield 6. I bought the game on Steam (linked to my EA account) and played perfectly fine for around four hours. Everything was normal until I hosted a game session after entering a four-letter lobby code. The match only had AI bots, and I simply played to level up and unlock weapons — completely within the game’s allowed features. But suddenly, I got a “verification failed” message, and when I tried to log back in, I found out my account had been banned again.

There’s still no record of this Battlefield 6 ban showing in my EA penalty history, which makes it even more confusing. Is this a delay, a bug, or another mistake? Either way, I cannot access the game anymore.

I suspect EA’s anti-cheat might be falsely triggered by other anti-cheat systems (like ACE from Delta Force or other games installed on my PC), but that’s no excuse for banning players without a single piece of evidence. If EA’s anti-cheat can’t tell the difference between a hacker and a normal player using AI mode, then this system is broken.

EA, this is a serious issue. Players are paying real money for your products, and being banned for simply using your built-in features is unacceptable. You owe your community an explanation, a fix, and an apology.

I hope this post gains enough visibility to make EA review its current anti-cheat policies and restore wrongly banned accounts immediately.

EA, please fix this and unban innocent players like me.

  • “The match only had AI bots, and I simply played to level up and unlock weapons — completely within the game’s allowed features.” I do the same and then “your ea account has been banned”

No any warning with community experience session…

    And your case…any update?

  • I had a fairly lengthy back and forth with EA Support regarding a ban in 2042 after 2 weeks of not even playing the game.
In the end their 'reason' for the ban turned out to be that I was using something that had "the potential to use macros".
This was in the first few weeks of release, when people were even reporting that they were being banned for using RGB keyboards etc, due to the software allowing for customization of certain key functions, etc.

So according to their own people, I wasn't banned for cheating (duh!), I was banned because either my mouse (an MMO mouse with side buttons) or my keyboard (RGB software), were flagged by their system.

I suspect they still haven't properly tuned their AC to void false flags/bans.
It's why I still haven't bought the game, since I was afraid I'd have the same issue.

For anyone thinking that this doesn't happen, please go look it up.
Some Anti-cheats flag people just for using G Hub or iCue, for managing their peripherals.

  • This is a screen shot of Battlefield 2042 ban status and I already submitted the appeal.  The battlefield 6 ban status still hasn't showed up yet.
