Weapon levels not saving

Having issuing leveling up a weapon in battlefield 6. When I get to a new number level (IE lvl 6) it will not let me put on the attachment associated with that level for the weapon. Knowing that this is a bug in the game, I normally would restart my game and when I load back in my weapon will still be level 6 and I will be able to put the new attachment on. However, when I get back in - my weapon is now back to the level it was when I first started playing today (IE lvl 3). I spoke with someone at EA help and they said this is a known issue and they are working on it but wanted me to post here so I could be informed when it is fixed.
