Winter Offensive Update FPS drops, server tik rate, Gpu not being utilised!
My specs:
• Intel Core i9-14900KF (24 cores / 32 threads, 5.8 GHz boost)
• NVIDIA RTX 5090 (24 GB)
• 64 GB DDR5 @ 7200 MHz
• Windows 11 Pro (fully updated, latest drivers & BIOS)
What’s happening:
• In Battlefield 6 I get ≈ 160–200 FPS max while the GPU is only 30–60 % used.
• CPU frame-time ≈ 5–6 ms, GPU ≈ 3 ms → clear CPU bottleneck.
• In Battlefield 2042 on the same setup I get ≈ 300 FPS Ultra with full GPU utilisation (≈ 98 %).
• Cinebench R23 ≈ 39 000 pts and 3DMark Time Spy ≈ 44 800 → system is top 1 %.
This clearly isn’t a hardware issue.
It looks like a threading / CPU-utilisation bug in Frostbite DX12.
Other creators (e.g. The Tactical Brit on a 5090 + 9800X3D) show the same SIM-thread.
£100 , on game that's got so much issues on console and PC.
BF2042 servers are full, what does that tell you
Sounds were not fixed, hit regs depends on match
High end systems, AMD , intel, NVIDIA doesnt matter.
Changing graphics does nothing.
The community might well want bigger, more maps but why are you not addressing the engine optimisation or is that to much to ask !
Disgusting taking people's money for this game in this state, is it going to be 5 years until you can get 240 fps 1440p on high end pc
