Xbox Freezing & Crashing by
I cannot express how frustrating this is and it makes the game simply unplayable. I’m experiencing the exact same crashing/freezing on my XBox S that occurred at release of BF6. I tried working through this 10-11 months ago and eventually gave up playing the game. Fast forward to August, I came back to the game foolishly thinking this issue HAD to be resolved by now, only to experience the exact same issues again.
BF6 is consistently freezing in both campaign and multiplayer on my Xbox Series S. This typically occurs within 5-15 mins into a campaign level or multiplayer match. Like others have stated, the game just freezes/locks mid-level or mid-match. Sometimes I’m able to return to the Xbox Home Screen, other times I have to do a force restart just to unlock the Xbox.
I’ve run through the following troubleshooting steps:
- Disabled In Game chat
- Disabled Quick Resume
- Disabled HDR, Dolby Vision, and 4K on the Xbox.
- Checked my refresh rate was set to 60hz
- Cleared/Deleted reserved local space data (multiple x’s).
- Fully reinstalled the game (multiple x’s).
- Hard rebooted the Xbox (multiple x’s).
- Moved the game install to internal storage.
I don’t have any ventilation/overheating issues with my XBox and don’t have problems with any other game. Moving the install from external storage to internal storage made no difference. It crashes on both external and internal storage. No matter what I do, the issue happens every time I attempt to play it.
Fix this, it’s unacceptable
