[25-28th Dec READ FIRST] Engine / Connection / No contact / 0 lvl etc.
There's currently problems causing connection problems meaning the game probably wont work.
This is affecting online play, Battlelog and all platforms.
EA / DICE is aware of this and working on the problem.

Update: It appears services are returning to normal on PC. We will continue tracking this for now.
Xbox Live appears to be back to normal for now, while Playstation Network still seems to be down. You can view the current status of both services with the following links.

There's rumours about this being caused by a DDOS attack on the servers. http://map.ipviking.com/ could suggest that is correct
PS. Please notice I don't work for EA, I just put this up for the people too lazy not to check the Battlelog forums and to avoid 500 identical threads messing up the forum so people with other problems don't get help.

This is true, don't blindly trust the server status icons - they apparently don't work for whatever problem this is.

Wait with asking for help until the game actually works, we wont know if it's the service being down or or something else causing your issue.
