Anti Cheat is probably the most important thing about this game!

Yeah, I hope AC is discussed and taken VERY seriously.  BF5 had a chance of being the best BF game.  I personally think it rocks and the maps are among the best.  Alas, cheating is flat out ruining this game.  

I'm just about ready to hang up BF5 it has gotten so bad.

Great, more cheaters will get caught and get punished with a 3 day temp ban and then be right back at it playing.

AC is important, but it is only as important and the punishment. 

Everyone wants a better AC but that is not the only issue. The other big issue is lack of teeth punishing the cheaters. EA does not want to permanently ban cheaters. Until this changes, a better AC is pointless.

And have you looked at the leaderboards for a lot of FPS games? Some of these people at the top of the boards show time played, kills and streaks that are impossible to actually obtain, within the length of time that the game has actually been out. They have obviously found a way to hack and boost their numbers, and put themselves at the top of the lists. I think this kind of thing should be monitored, too, and if the numbers are not mathematically possible, the person who hacked and put them there should be banned, permanently. You have to show that you mean business, or no one will take you seriously.

The only way we ever really handled the cheaters was with rented servers and the game had the built in battle recorder. so you can watch the replay of the match and see the snap targeting of aim botters targeting through walls and such. we use to send in the video proof and the players would get added to punkbuster i think it was. yeah it wasnt perfect but servers with good mods brought in the better players who wanted to play cheat free.

Anticheat is important in all games today, but it is you as a customer in the end who decides how important and how much of it will be. If you just go and buy the game with hopes that, maybe this time they will finally take the problem seriously. Then there will definitely be no changes compared to before, why should they waste resources on something that the majority does not consider a problem.

The fact EA censors discussion about the endemic levels of cheating in their games says all you need to know about what BF2042 is going to be like.

I wonder if there is any chance the devs are intentionally not talking about anti cheat before release so cheaters won't be able to prepare beforehand or know what to expect. I don't know how the entire cheating thing works so it's just a theory. 

I agree, Anti Cheat should be important for BF 2042, we all know from other FPS/Shooters that being in a server with any Cheat/Hack takes all game fun away.  I have seen many attempts of this in past BF games and a lot is still "In the air" about certain features and functions of BF 2042, as always we the Community usually do not get heard until after Day 1 patch, I have very High Hopes for BF 2042 on all levels and from everything I have read and seen this will be a Huge Success, I am looking forward to Battlefield Portal and am stoked over the 128 players.  I have confidence that EA/Dice has the Anti Cheat well devised so it will be a Fair and Fun Game for any Platform.

@BlackbeardrsCheaters are super fun in friendly fire servers, I love Tking them over and over till they leave. The problem with BFV is that there there is no FF option for servers. I have high hopes that FF servers will be available because that is all I play on and you rarely see cheaters.

Well after the FAQ page where they told us we wouldnt have our own servers I have no faith in the clowns at DICE, they made the same gimmick last game when releasing BFVomit,

There will be more about it later ... we are working on it... Instead they did .. nothing  we as community could care for or use in any way.

Stick to BF4, the last game they made that worked.

If BF2042 was a "love letter" I would hate to see a hatemail.
