Battlefield 1 & V bug freezes my PC - hard reset needed - faulty anti cheat

My BFV never actually crashes but ever since the Anti-Cheat update late last year I have been getting big freezes throughout my games. Every few minutes and they last anywhere from 2 to 10 seconds. I had hundreds of hours of perfectly smooth flawless gameplay before that update sometime around November but it's been happening ever since with no changes to my PC.
