Battlefield 1 and V refuse to start

The games show a splash screen and then silently exit. No errors. They have never worked. Meanwhile Star Wars Jedi Survivor works just fine.

I've tried repairing the installations.
I've tried reinstalling EA App
I've tried reinstalling EA Anti Cheat
I've installed the latest nVidia drivers.
This is a Windows 10 64-bit system. Fully up to date.
I've tried running the EA App in Administrator mode

I've tried to find a way to raise a support ticket, but all links I followed go round in circles and don't actually raise a ticket with a human. The AI chat bot is clueless.

I'd appreciate any help I can get
