This situation makes you think about not spending more money on EA products that will become unplayable at some point.
the game is now unplayable for me after 8 years working smoothly

Just tried running "EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe" in the game folder as admin. While the problem isn't solved, it runs a bit better. Seems to freeze less, though the frame drops are still here. Hope this works for other people as well, the game is at least somewhat bearable

Me too! EA needs to fix this urgently, the game ran so well before, one of the ones I had the most fun with, then EA comes with this update and makes the game unplayable. Thanks for ruining another flawless game, EA.

Same issue, just bought the game after playing around 1500h on PS4/5 for the last 7 years. I have an I5 4460, GTX 960 2gb an 8gb ram. It's an older PC, but when I tried the game years ago it worked fine. It worked on a weaker PC. No matter what option i get, stutters and freezes happen. It even says 60fps sometimes while it stutters like crazy. I mean this is insane that the game works better on my PS4, played it yesterday, than on my PC. I'll take framedrops over stutters and freezes any day of the week

@VoltorReaperI have an i7 4790K and I have the same issues. Before the game update, the CPU had an average usage of 65-70% without stuttering or anything strange. After the update Now it is 90-100%! I had been doing some research on my own and finally I realized that the "ntoskrnl" process is the cause of the stuttering and high CPU usage. Basically the process is part of Windows and the Anticheat problem...Yeah I've come to the same conclusion.
The same problem.
I have 7800X3D and 6950 XT, 32GB ram and Windows 11 with DX12 installed.
I have tried to restore files integrity through but it didn't help.

- @tompusliker Forgot to mention that I also set the bf1 process priority to high permanently using Process Lasso, maybe try that?
- @otvertka1337x That made zero difference. Everytime Me or enemy shoots frames going crazy. On top of that after a while Ea app going offline. I dont want to play anymore and I’m not happy about it. I own every BF since bad company 2. I think I wont be buying anymore EA games.
I have exactly the same problem. Although I do not have strong machine (i3-8100, 3.6GHz, 16Gb mem and GeForce GTX 1050ti) the game was playable prior to anticheat. Now it stutters constantly even on singleplayer mode.
