Battlefield 3 for free but needs a product key?

I just downloaded battlefield 3 as it was free but when i try to launch it is says i need a product key. Anyone know how to fix this, i would've thought that as it was for free i wouldn't need a product key?

    A lot of people right now have this problem and simply you will need to wait for a few hours while they try to repair ther overloaded servers and out of sync thing . Becsoe Free things normaly make people go nuts or the make bots to get the game more times.

    Try in a few hours. Suggested after the On the House Thing is over.

    I got productkey now but when i used it it said this code has already been used
