[Removed offensive comment - Admin.] You didn´t fix it in BF3!, even tough there were thousands who had the same issue... And making a new bf with the same **bleep**! How dare you ! really, how dare you! ppl are paying for it and by that it should work, without happen to be a PC freak who dig in files and put alil magic in to it and fix it by himself..... SHAME ! we want a soulution and that is now! PS . im not going to by the game, just bcuz of that stupid **bleep**! 2-10 minutes into a game my screen goes black for a few seconds and crashes to the desktop with a directx errorDirectX function GetDeviceRemovedReason failed with dxgi_error_device_hung This error was plaguing me for weeks in Battlefield 3 then it just stopped, until starting again just recently in BF3 and the BF4 Beta I have tried:- Underclocking my GPU- Reinstalling BF3 (have not tried BF4 yet)- Disabling cloud storage for BF3 in origin- Clearing the windows 'Temp' folder (Found by typing %temp% into the windows search bar)- Uninstalling, sweeping, and reinstalling several GeForce drivers, from betas to officials- Redownloading and flashing my GPU's BIOS- Running both games in windowed mode Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Hi,I've had the same problem, I found out that it's when I change the "output resolution" on a Windows 7 installation.A quick (and dirty) fix for me was to delete the "PROFSAVE", "PROFSAVE_header" and "PROFSAVE_profile" files from the "My Documents\Battlefield 4\settings" folder.WARNING : it deletes all your custom settings and bring back the tutorial tooltips.After that, it started without problems.Changing the output resolution in game worked, but when the next round started, it stopped working again, when it's unchanged at 100%, everything is OK.EDIT : it is NOT related to the output resolution but some other configuration settings, I'm investigating to see if I can figure out which one.

1. A WORKAROUND ISN"T A FIX!!!!! FIX THE DAMN GAME. These are just random ideas that don't work. Why should I have to lower my game settings when my hardware is good enough to play it at ultra. This is a poor game design.2. I am surprised there isn't a lawsuit against EA for this crap. I have talked to 5 EA "advisers" that all give me these stupid workaround ideas. This error is prevalent among many users. I doubt that that many peoples computers have issues. 3. Quit treating us like we are ignorant by posting links to other forums. A lot of DirectX errors loading the game in Battlefield 4 like this:--------------------------- DirectX Error --------------------------- DirectX function "device->CreateTexture1D( &texDesc1d, desc.subResourceCount != 0 ? reinterpret_cast<const D3D11_SUBRESOURCE_DATA*>(desc.subResourceData) : 0, &texture->m_texture1d)" failed with E_INVALIDARG ("An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 ", Driver: 33140 --------------------------- It's on AMD, Nvidia, with all drivers (latest beta included), on functions "CreateTexture1D", "CreateTexture2D", "CreateBuffer", etc... Still waiting for a fix.

here are some thinks that i did at the moment... i played for like a hour and it seems ok but i need more time to test.
but since u guys are desperate like me i'll say what i did and "It seems to work", need to test more...

1-change on nvidia control panel physx from automatic to my gtx 770
2- run ccleaner on temp + registry
3- uninstal some programs of monitoring (evga precision e my mb software a-tuning)

usually the error happens to me in a few minutes but now i played for 1 hour... GL guys... iff the error return i'll let you guys know.

No por direct x error for me. I just did two things. First, from windows control panel, i set sound quality to 16 bits, 44100 mhz y then from nvidia control panel i set physx to be managed by CPU. No more trouble. Sorry about my english spelling.

I have officially tried everything. Played for a while once but right when I thought it was good to go. Another DirectX error and then later a BF4 crash.

5 times contacting EA so far. Save yourselves the trouble and perform a clean boot, move your game files to your c drives, set the affinity on your CPU for BF4 and see if you can get any other useless tips from them.

EA, you guys should seriously be ashamed of yoursef. We spend serious cash for this game and it should not be our problem to fix your faults. This is a reason why people choose for call of duty instead of BF. I love BF but i also had problems with the previous one (BF3). Again i buy a battlefield game (BF4) and again problemss. I hope you guys take this serious and solve this asap. So far i dont see any feedback from you guys so probably not. A compensation for future mappacks would be appropriate. Hope to finally see a sign from EA that they care about their customers.

Still nothing, tried everything from changing physx to cpu to changing refresh rate to 50 by window mode or other useless things... Waiting for solid patch or I want my money back (tip: never buy bf game at launch)
