My Origin Account was Hacked

Hello,

I tried logging in today to play some BF3 today to find i could not login, I thought maybe I have only forgotten my password, no matter i shall change it. I wait for the email to change the password only to find i cant read it. ITS IN RUSSIAN!!!!

(wtf comes to mind)

I change the password immediately to something so obscure i can hardly remember it now. Thankfully i was able to change it without losing anything apart from my friends list!!

I hope to see some action taken against the person who tried to take my account and there associates which i can give you as i have listed:

Sal1geS

Price161rus

gheocross1611

gheocros

The poeple above I found on my battle feed which i DO NOT know and i was friends with(i am not in any associasion with). Please investigate these accounts and make sure they are not also hacked accounts.

I am dissapointed in the fact my account was almost stolen from me and the complete lack of options to actually report this kind of security breach. The forums are a help but Wouldn't EA think that when someone only plays in UK that it would be strange to have their account updated to russian???

I know i may be in the Wrong Q&A but Live chat im only talking to myself and trying to find the correct area or recipient for this email is very frustrating especially after working all day and trying to wind down with a game of BF3. Please forward thsi to the correct poeple if i am a bit lost, to save some time and effort.

ps. this hasnt happened to my steam account, why has it happend here? Ask yourselfs that.

Sincerely

Axel

  • This is a public forum where users help other users. You are not talking to EA and your fellow users in here unfortunately cannot help with account or billing issues like this one. Instead I would suggest contacting an EA Advisor by going to https://help.ea.com/contact-us
You will have to write some keywords about your problem, then fill out product, category and platform, press "Find Solutions" and then "I Still Need Help". Then your contact options will appear. If live chat/phone does not appear, it might be closed in your area at the moment and you might consider changing it to: "United States" or something else in the language selector in the bottom for a better result.

Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you. This way you help others in the same situation.

    Cheers

    Hello,

Thank you for the suggestion/solution but i was just looking to report this fraudulent act to EA which seem to not have an official avenue for this type of complaint.

If you read my post, i mentioned everything including the fact that i did go through to an ea advisor (i called LIVE CHAT), someone called poablo but after half an hour talking to myself in the chat box with no response i posted on the forum which you see above.

I am not going to call them either, if just trying to report my account being hacked is anything to go by on the website, the telephone is going to be worse.

I will be trying the live chat again though with that US trick, i hope the service is better over there.

For all our sakes(and my BF stats, which are ruined now) I hope EA TAKE ACTION.

    Sincerely

    Axel

Forgot to mention will report back here with the results of my futile endeavour to report this to EA.

What EA has to say about this breach and what action they will be taking.

ps they most likely will say your password was crap or i had a virus but i will Fill you guys in soon... I Hope.

EA has 2 ways to report cheats

    1.  Report them through the <!> on Battlelog

    2.  Contact them though livechat/ticket/phone using the way I suggested.

You want to be "looking to report this fraudulent act to EA which seem to not have an official avenue for this type of complaint."

I told you exactly what you needed to know, you might not like the options, but it's the only ones. You are only complaining to users like yourself by writing in here, which is rather pointless.

Please accept solutions if they are correct and press the XP button if somebody helped you. This way you help others in the same situation.

    Cheers

    Hello

    Option 1

Battlelog - Is that not for ingame hacking like aimbots or wall hacking. never the less i did report via this option yesterday the poeple i listed

    eg.

    gheocross1611

    Option 2

Live chat i did go through on that US trick you mentioned and refered him to this forum post which explained everything. After reading it he replied 'We value customers just like you' then stopped responding.

    shortly after i was emailed this;

We're sorry but our conversation was disconnected before we were able to resolve case no.********** for you. If you still require assistance you can contact us through Help.EA.com.

Carbonic I dont want to get into a argument, you have helped me. But i think you missed my point, i am not complaining to the users of this forum.

I am simply reporting my experiences with EA and the account hacking incident and the results/responses i get from them.

Sometimes its reliefing to know your not alone in this unfortante circumstance.
