Not able to play BF1 bought from Steam

Hey!

My game won't connect to ea online services.

i made sure my dns is set to 8.8.8.8

stated ea and app as admin

repaired files

reinstall everything

repair and reinstalled anti-cheat manually

cleared eap app cache

exceptions in anti-virus software of steam, ea and game

on mobile data same issue.

Contacted the support, first time the guy juste lied to me " I have made  the  changes on the account  please  try the  steps ", i did what asked nothing fixed. I was then pushed to close the chat so it can be "escalated" but it was just put on waiting for player so it could be closed if i haven't check again.
on second chat they did ask me to make more steps but nothing worked. They then asked me to just request a refund... So I am not able to play and support won't help.
When i insist of finding a solution they asked me to make a post here so a community manager could get in touch....

Well we are here, i just want to play online

I have the same issue and same circumstances, and have also tried those same generic troubleshooting steps. Even did a factory reset on my router in case one of my settings messed something up somehow. Still not fixed. Launching it through the EA app instead of steam also doesn't fix it.

I'll be following this thread, hope someone has a solution.

edit: Solved by refunding on steam, buying and downloading on EA client. Feels like **bleep** that this was the solution.

  • Since the price is the same on EA Store I would purchase the game from there instead. If you buy BF1 on Steam the game will have double digital rights management (DRM).
