I've been stuck in this same situation for years. I have tried several times over the last couple years to resolve this issue and all I get from them is "clear your cache" or "try another computer". Now I've not only tried other computers, but I've tried every browser, and even tried from a friends house. Apparently there is nothing wrong with my account, or the help desk person can't find anything wrong with my account. Each time I contact I get told that this problem will be escalated, and someone will contact me, but that never happens.

So when I buy EA games, I either buy through steam, or another online retailer, then enter the keys in Origin if I need to (I prefer to use Steam). I have 43 games on my Origin client, and not one of them has been purchased through Origin due to this issue. So no wonder people dislike Origin, and there is no way I'd ever recommend it to anyone.

Same issue for ages. "EA Support" can just as well be a rock on Mars as they are not interested / unable to resolve this issue.

I will go spend my money elsewhere then as it does not seem to be good enough for EA.

HEY !!!!???? WTH is going on ? I can't buy F1 2012 on sale right now ! It keeps telling me "Payment authorization failed" .  The chat support guy was extremely unhelpfull. The only thing he said was to try in 24hrs. Really, thats all he can think of ?

I tried Mastercard and PAYPAL and on both it keeps telling me "Payment authorization failed". I used my PAYPAL like 15 minutes ago on eBAY, what kind of joke is this ???

NExt thing i read is that EA has been rated for the worst company or something like that.... ☹️

You have to log out of your account and log back in. I was having this problem and after I logged out and back in it worked right away. It is very frustrating that you have to go through so much hassle to buy a couple lines of code from a company. (Hint hint Origin)

EA don't care of employee and less of customer.

And no employee at support because support don't exist.

This is INSANE. I am a family member of a US Military soldier, and I can't get ANYTHING from the Origin Store. I'll be here all summer to visit, and I've purchased many things from this store before in the US. I'm using an American credit card, from an American bank, and an American PayPal account that has been verified for nearly 3 years now. ON TOP OF THAT, to even get the US pricing you need to use a VPN solution. Take this for example: When i go to origin.com on my PC without a VPN connection, the front page deal for "Sims 3: Starter Pack: is £39.99 which equals $61.47. The US site offers the same, for $29.99. What gives EA? What about all our soldiers in Afghanistan? Are they commiting fraud? Should they be marked as a risk? I had a similar issue with Steam, and I brought it to the attention of their CS reps. They marked my account as a "Permanent US Resident" so it would always forward to the US site WITHOUT use of a VPN connection. This is absolutely garbage. And as if people weren't already fed up with EA Games. 

Why EA sell Battlefiled 3 at 50% often in last time?

First it’s because EA lie. They sell at this price just for USA. And you must use your real IP because EA want to know your real address.

Second EA block often their Battefield 3 servers so player can’t play this game. They update their stuff so player are often blocked.

Why?

Well EA don’t want spend money to add server so they prefer block player who buy Battlefield 3 for $5 and/or at 50%.

So EA make a lot of money selling something’s player can’t use.

Also EA will take their Battlefield 3 server and put Battlefield 4 on them.

Again EA don’t want spend money to add server.

So hope you understand now why EA make billions of money.

Also think that soon to play any kind of EA games you will need to give them your fingerprints you DNA, your retina prints, your photo, one sample of you skin.

And like now you will not able to play Campaign mode if you are not link to one of their server (if they work) and give all these information above.

And of course all these information's that EA need is for anti-fraud and not to collect more and more information's on all their customer.

EA is a so honest company and for that they make billion.

All rich are honest and all poor are in prison.

Today like many days, server of EA don't work. EA rock really !
