ps3 battlefield 3 - no weapons when i spawn issue

help please!

today when i started playing bf3 i played the tail end of a map and when the next map started I have now apparently lost the ability to have weapons.

i've rebooted, restarted the game and even played a map without weapons... i have crosshairs sometimes but cant fire or knife.

images of the weapons are not appearing in the little boxes on the loadout either and when killed I can no longer see the killers weapons/vehicle data.

also the last two maps I played... upon end of game it failed to go into the post game win/lose data and the game froze up.

assistance is much appreciated!

    Hello,

    I had the same issue, here is how I fixed it:

    In the PS3 menu, go to -> Game -> Game Data Utility -> Find the one called BATTLEFIELD 3 (should be about 4500 Mb). Then delete it. -> Run the game and it should start re-installing itself.

    Then it should be fixed!

    NOTE: If you had any DLC content installed, you need to re-download and re-install those aswell. You can do so by going into the in-game store in BATTLEFIELD 3 and just downloading them again.

    I have tried the deletion of the game file, reinstalled and still have the same issue.  Any other thoughts?

    Are you sure you deleted the Game Data Utility file of BATTLEFIELD 3?

    With all due respect Sven, if you had to deal with this glitch every time you try to play i ont think there would be a smiley face included in your post.  Plase give us an update about when we can expect this patch.  please.

    Have you tried to suicide maybe?

    Suicide does not work. 

    I had to delete my Game Data Utility twice and actually log in and out of PSN a few times before it worked. Eventually however, the deletion of the Data Utility should fix it. Keep trying, cheers!
