Audio stuttering and skipping

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number RTX 2060
Enter RAM memory size in GB 16GB
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Conquest
Please select your region North America
On which server did this happen? All of them
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 02/16/19
Summarize your bug Weird audio glitching and artifacting. Sometimes only sounds of screams and breathing can be heard, gunshots are really poorly outputted and lots of static.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Joining any game causes it on my end.
What happens when the bug occurs? Delayed sound, static noise, no gunshots/explosions just breathing. Overall laggy sound
What should be happening instead? The in game sound should be as crisp as it was last patch.

https://streamable.com/tfoai - this is an example of audio, notice how when I fire the K98 you only hear a blip of sound, and that apart from my squad and some breathing from there character there is no other sound.

Thanks for the video. Try these steps below to see if it fixes it for you.

    1. Update drivers for your video card and sound card
    2. Right-click on BFV in Origin and select "Repair."
    3. Unplug your headset and and re-insert it.
    4. If you are using any overlays, try disabling them to see if you experience any sound issues.
    5. Check the sound panel from your desktop icon when the game is launched to see if a playback device was changed. You can also hit the troubleshoot sound problems option.

Same here, only happened after recent update
  • I am experiencing the same issue. The sound issues seams to appear randomly after playing for a while, although I am suspecting that they are triggered when many loud explosions happen in game. In some rare cases it fixed itself after some minutes, but usually the sound stays broken until I restart the Battlefield 5 client.

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i5 3570K
    8 GB RAM
Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1070 (Driver 418.91)
    Audio: Logitech G933 Gaming Headset
    Windows 10 Pro 1809 Build 17763.316

Battlefield V Sound Settings: 3D Headphones

I recorded some gameplay with the issue: https://youtu.be/cTjlNH6SPkQ

This could be super strange but a player was having some sound issues in Apex Legends and was able to fix it by updating their router's firmware. Can you log into your router's admin panel to see if there is an update available?
