Black screen after Connectivity error message

Product: Battlefield V
Platform:PC
Please specify your platform model. PC
AMD or Nvidia Model Number Nvidia GTX 1070
Enter RAM memory size in GB 16
Are you using any software with an overlay? Yes
If yes, can you list them here? GeForce Experience (FPS), Origin (in the background)
If you disable this software, does that have any effect? No
Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Multiplayer
Which part of the mode? Breakthrough
Please select your region Europe
On which server did this happen? All servers where I can't connect and get the "Connection to EA online timed out" message
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 07.04.2020 23:00
Summarize your bug Every time I go to Advanced Search and select a server to join, when I get the following message: "Connection to EA online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game" and hit OK, my screen is black and nothing I can do after, so I have to ALT+F4. Apparently there is some interface behind it becuase the brightness changes when I move my mouse, but I can't see anything. Sometimes I can get past this message, sometimes not. Seems to be occasional issue. But the issue is not the message itself, but the inability to do anything after this message. Note: if you do the same from within the main menu where you don't pick a specific server but a random one, I can get out of this message with no problem.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Pre-condition: Make sure you have ever received this message: "Connection to EA online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game". 1. Go to Advanced Search 2. Pick a server and join it 3. Receive the message above 4. Click OK
What happens when the bug occurs? Screen is black and no controls can't be seen
What should be happening instead? I'm navigated back to the list of servers

See above.

@CapitanRoyon Hi, I have, and although they didn't help me, the bug is not about the connectivity itself, but about the UI and inability to escape from a screen after this message.

-Make sure the CPU is not hot

-Make sure no other background apps running.

    - Preform a virus scan on your computer.

    - Add Battlefield and Origin to exclusions in your antivirus / firewall.

    - Run CCleaner  and run a repair.

    - Check that all Windows updates are done.

    - Preform a Clean Boot

Can you put your DxDiag in an attached file?

    - Press the Windows and R keys at the same time
    - Tape DxDiag in the window that appears, then you click on Save all the information and you save the file where you want.
    - Then to attach the .txt file to your message, just click on Choose file .

@qkm60y1arur8 I'm not sure. I have had the same when there was an issue at my ISP it's site. A server disconnection was more when there was something wrong with the server. In this case the system is still trying to join the server but as you stated yourself latency is to high and it keeps trying. Ok BFV might be able to build in a time out like after 30 seconds disconnect but might give other issues. So in what you describe I think it is normal behavior.

You might be able to make a clip with your cellphone and upload it here? (Or ps4 recording stuff)

@CapitanRoyon DxDiag is already attached in the first post. My Windows is up-to-date. I have no viruses. I don't want to heavily intervene into my system just to make this game work.
Please just submit a bug report so that QA guys can recreate this.
  • Still no help - should I just have my money back.

    Tried repair.

    Tried reinstalling

    Tried installing on different drives.

    Updated windows

Tried testing with firewall and anit-virus turned off but nothing helps.

    PLEASE HELP-!!!

  • I have this problem, but my fix is to run the GPU on a second power supply. May be your power supply? check your cables/connections are in properly and you're using two separate cables (not a Y cable) to power your GPU. Hope it helps. In my setup, my original PSU was 800 Watts and have a 9900k with 2080ti FTW 3 Ultra so should have been no problem, since I got the blackscreen/freezing, i tried driver updates, Display Port only, HDMI only and nothing seemed to work. I even tried to downclock my GPU 200Mhz & power cap at 60%, that worked for a few weeks, FPS sucked, but it worked. Then the problem came back and no matter how much I underclock my GPU or power cap total power (using X1 tool) it blackscreens the moment a game fires up. Now I have the GPU running on a 750W supply on its own. Would never have suspected my 800W silverstone SFX power supply was failing me but looks like this was my problem. Will be sending it in for RMA and going with my 750W corsair PSU.

@C0V1DPangolin Hi Im using a Coolermaster 850 W power supply.
My GPU is only a AMD SaffireRX570 4Gb ITX and when I run other games lige BF1 and PUBG Fortnite there is no problems at all.
All settings are ultra and it runs fine easy get 60 FPS or higher and temp only around 55-65 C.
CPU is Ryzen 7 1700 and 16 Gb of Corsair RAM.
Im sorry to say but I dont think that it is the power supply and I am not buying a new just because one game isnt working.

The CPU are only using 70-80% and the same with my graphic card.
    Nothing is OC.!!!
