Game Crashes when launching

So as title says I can't launch the game anymore, it just gives black screen and crashes. I've played around 70hours, and the game have worked perfectly before. I tried to repair the game on Origin (even delete bfv.exe and bfvtrial.exe, and then repair.)

I've also updated the latest Nvidia drivers, tried to install BFV and Origin again, installed Windows 1809 update. Also tried older Nvidia drivers, but it ain't just working.

    Hey @ghettoghytta

I can not say for sure, but you are running on the minimum for CPU requirements.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
    • Processor (AMD): AMD FX-8350.
    • Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600K.
    • Memory: 8GB RAM.
    • Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1050 / GTX 660 2GB.
    • Graphics card (AMD): AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 2GB.

That should not be cause the sudden change especially as you had it running before? but it might be a possibility?

    Best of Luck!

Yea it worked just perfectly before, I had like 80-100fps, and sometimes it dropped to 50-60fps. I also noticed that games like Quake Champions and Insurgency Sandstorm now crash also when I'm launching them, but CS:GO runs just smoothly.

Don't really know what's causing the crashing.

  • Hey @ghettoghytta,

Have you tried these other steps?

    1. Clear Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

    2. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

    3. CCleaner: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/

    4. Run Origin and the Battlefield V exe file as Administrator

    5. Turn off the Origin in-game Overlay, and any other Overlays you might be using(Discord, Nvidia GeForce Experience, etc)

Let us know if any of these steps work for you.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hey @iluminatethesky

So a little update on here, I just installed a clean install of Windows 10 on my computer, and still BFV & Quake Champions crash immediately on launch. CS:GO runs smoothly 165 fps capped.

I've turned all overlays off, run games as administrator, run ccleaner.

I've now installed Windows 1803 version and I've Nvidia drivers 417.22, those worked before on BFV & Quake Champions.
