Sudden freezing, 0 fps.

Recently i downloaded BF 5. Then after hopping in my first game and later on, whenever i start new match the first 20 seconds are just sudden freezing. Fps drops to 0 in 5 seconds repeatedly. After that while playing all of sudden game drops down to 0 fps and it goes to normal for minutes then 0 fps again for 1 second. My temperatures are okay.

I have RTX 4060, i5-12400f and 16GB ram.

  • This is a known issue on EA's end, any troubleshooting on your end would only be a waste of time. EA acknowledged this problem months ago but then stopped providing updates on the matter. They know what's wrong, they know it's on their end, but they're not willing to fix it because it probably would require undoing some back-end changes they implemented, so they're sweeping the problem under the rug.

Fortunately the community did the billion-dollars-company's job and found a workaround: all you've got to do is to go in the Gameplay options and set "Player-Created Content" to "Hide" (third setting from the top of the list).
This will also hide server titles in Advanced Search, so you may want to toggle the setting when you're browsing for a game.
