Wake Island Conquest Assault is BAD
I don’t know if I’m the only one here with the thought of this, but has Wake Island Conquest always been one sided? I’ve played this mode many times both as US and Japan factions and let me say; Japan always loses!
There is barely a chance for the Japanese side to actually win a match, I’ve only won 2 times in the many matches I’ve been as Japan.
the problem isn’t even the map, or the way the layout of the objectives are. To me, the problem is at the start of the match; who thought 500 (Japan) to 800 (US) tickets is considered fair!?
Yes, we get that the defending team gets a leg up at the start and has all the flags, but the rate and amount of the ticket bleed isn’t enough to give them a chance for a fair match. Not to mention the attacking team has over 2 mins of attempting to secure an objective to stop the advantage the defending team have. I’ve done a lot of hours on this map and figured out that no matter what, you can’t win defending.
You can be in a better team than the attacking side but that won’t make a difference in the game.
Even when we think we have a chance, a lot of players quit because I’m pretty sure everyone knows the outcome of the match.
I’ve watched strategy videos and clips and nothing works.
The fact is, this game mode is a bust, I quit matches if I end up on Japan side because there’s no point in trying to win if I know most likely we’ll lose, and not because my team is bad, but because there is no actual way to win as Japan.
Not that the game will get any updates or tweaks, but I would’ve said either remove the map/game mode from the playlist or actually tweak it to make it more bearable than it is.
(My notes: Increase the tickets for Japan by 100, or remove 100 from US. It makes sense for both sides, gives one side a winning chance, or tells the other side to attack quicker and not delay when capturing a flag.)
