Not sure what the point of the update was other than adding a number of additional uniform options. The sock selection for Kick Off and Dynasty game modes on Xbox Series X/S is still broken for nearly every team in the country, even for teams receiving uniform upgrades in this revision. The most disappointing aspect is that EA developers were already working in the same game system coding areas where the sock selection scripts are located, but for whatever reason, decided to not spend an additional hour patching the significant issue that has persisted for four months. Furthermore, absolutely nothing was done to remedy the incorrect or distorted custom conference logos on the field or jerseys, custom scheduling errors, team rank polling and simming results, and game breaking problems to gameplay mechanics; CPU defender interceptions when ten yards away from receivers and not even looking at the ball, CPU quarterback pass accuracy percentages above ninety, user AI offensive line blocking for pass protection and rushing, etc., etc., etc... (everyone who plays the game, including the development team are clearly aware of the main issues). Once again, uninstalling the game and awaiting the release of another 'so called' Title Update. Unfortunately, this time may have to wait, until next July (EA College Football 26) for any comprehensive update, as it appear with this organization that only EA FC (soccer) games continue to receive patches up to one month prior to the release of the next iteration of the series (last year EA FC 24 received eighteen Title Updates with the last one in late April, while Madden 24 stopped updating in January or early February).

  • Thank you for the well-written response. You have articulated my frustrations from the past 3 months. It makes no sense to put LSU's new gold jerseys in the game if the gold socks that go with it don't even work. Or the teams that have blackout jerseys, yet you can't use black socks with their uniforms. How about fixing the initial issue with the socks, so they can actually match the "new" jerseys. I was thoroughly disappointed by the new update. It did absolutely nothing. With that being said, that is why I won't play this game and will continue to play the Revamped version. EA has lost me as a customer.

FWIW, it's not considered a bug

From a Dev posted on another forum:

"There is not a sock bug, the color of the sock 90% of the time is for the base layer color of the socks, if you see a team with 3 white socks with different names, the base layer (if a player chooses to wear them) is the color of the sock being called out."

so if the individual player has the equipment option for the base layer sock, it'll be that color.

  • That makes zero sense. Socks and base layers are two different things. That response sounds extremely lazy.

Appreciate your contribution to the discussion post. Am unsure of what that 'EA developer' was referring to regarding the differentiation between uniform socks and base leg coverings. There are number of teams with multiple functioning sock color option choices that have a singular preconfigured primary base color option, which functions as a separate entity; same base color for all team players in every game, while the sock color can be manually changed, and appears correctly during the games. In addition, believe that some teams have a dark primary color base color option, and exhibit the white sock color for every choice during pre-game setup. Therefore, the nonfunctioning sock appearance for the majority of teams requires a patch to repair either the game coding for establishing the correct color chosen by the user, or configure the base color to change according to the user sock color selection, which in my opinion, would be more difficult to implement than merely correcting the sock color.

  • Well if you remember, socks wasn't even a selectable uniform option when the game first came out, it was added in the update from August 8th. It probably should be listed/worded better in the game, but the Sock category seems to be for both base layer and actual socks. May not be the answer you want to hear, but It's apparently working as intended, so not broken.

some teams may only wear white socks, but may wear a Gold base layer or "Leg Sleeves" or covering, whatever you want to call it, so for LSU's "Gold socks", the socks themselves are White like real life, but the base layer would be Gold if the player wears it, just like they wore in real life.

  • They are done updating this game. This was last update to do a few more uniforms. No substance is coming guys. Only thing to do is drive our point home by not buying next year until they give us full customization in dynasty and I mean FULL customization.

  • I did not know what a base layer sock was so I googled it and found this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk9uv6oo0co , if I'm understanding it correctly, it sounds like a individual player option but not in dynasty mode. If it is available in dynasty mode please enlighten me, thanks.
