Technically there is an inner ring in coop that is a different color. My son and I play coop and he's red and I'm blue but it is VERY HARD to distinguish.
Also experienced issue #1 but hadn't identified why my son couldn't change his player. Good catch!
So it does differentiate but agree with OP it is very hard to distinguish who is who if that inner ring color could be emphasized.
I’m having a hard time player co-op on the same team too. Is there any way to change colors? Is there anyway to make the player icon and names larger too? This makes playing two player very difficult
