This has been adjusted in the August 8th patch "Adjusted AI QB behavior on shot plays to make more lob throws vs bullet passes." but there are still occasions where the CPU throws a bullet pass on outside streak routes, where it just doesn't make sense.
For example:
Cover 0 blitz, press the secondary
Switch to a corner (or player lock) and run behind the receiver on a streak.
The CPU throws a bullet instead of a lob pass:
Not sure if this was addressed, CPU still throws bullet passes to the outside occasionally.
Here is an example of them throwing a LOB and beating my defender:
This is still an issue, CPU still throws too many bullets on passes that should have touch and lobs. Mainly on the outside.
