How do I simply play my teams mirrored season?

Excuse my ignorance. This is the first football game I've bought since Madden back in the Sega days.

I don't really want to do all that management stuff, don't want to create a character, or play online. I'm simply looking to play the actual real season mirrored in game with my team. just a weekly game in the season in single player. How do I do that?
