O Line doesn’t initially block at all on screen plays??!!

As someone that played QB in high school and that played offensive tackle in organized grade school little league tackle football, I can tell you that even middle schoolers know that the O-Line  has to “check” the Defensive pass rushers prior to the O Line moving to block for the screen. This isn’t happening in NCAA 2025.

Hell you don’t even need to have played football to know this. Simply watching any organized tackle football you’d know.

So why is it that the O Line in 2025 let’s pass rushers get a full speed, totally unimpeded sprint straight to the QB on every screen play??

It’s bad from the shotgun for the QB. Under center it’s nigh impossible to get off a screen pass.

You have THIRTY YEARS of previous NCAA titles to go by as your baseline. How do you screw this up??? How this made it through quality control and Beta testing is baffling.

Sorry but NOT SORRY for not being PC. These are football basics that any fan of the game knows. It would be one thing if you never watched football and never made a video game. Seeing as how we know this isn’t the case, how are offensive linemen in 2025 not “checking” pass rushers prior to moving ti block for the screen???
