Why is it that team ratings are different when you look at them in the ‘Play Now’ screen versus when you look at them in the dynasty screen?
Seems the dynasty ratings aren’t matching up with the ratings showed during the “ratings reveals”. Aka Georgia isn’t a 95, Ohio State isn’t a 93, Oregon isn’t a 93 etc.
Is this intentional?
Dynasty Ratings:
Average - 80.69
Median - 81
Standard Deviation - 4.34
Play Now Ratings:
Average - 80.54
Median - 80
Standard Deviation - 5.6
Looks like the dynasty ratings were adjusted to them all closer to each other (see: lower standard deviation). Probably one of the reasons for the complaints about sim logic and constant upsets.
Teams are currently too similarly rated.
Play Now has 62 teams rated from 78 to 86 (the mid level teams). Dynasty has 90 with these ratings.
Can someone please explain the discrepancy between the team ratings in these two game modes?
I was going to make my own post before finding this. The Play Now ratings seem more true to me based on the eye test and I would think Dynasty should use the more accurate. I also feel like this is what's causing the sim issues. As an example, Iowa Play Now is 87 overall, 76 offense, 88 defense, which makes sense because their offense is terrible but their defense is amazing which usually keeps them in games. You look at Iowa in Dynasty and they are 84 overall, 84 offense, and 85 defense.
