I saw a video of Texas Tech intro and was also disappointed at the lack of saddle tramps and masked rider. (I haven’t seen a tech kickoff yet so I don’t know about the tortilla toss)
The opening environment is a huge part of what makes game days in Lubock special. EA has stated that a lot of what went into this seems to be based off reference materials provided by the school, so I wonder if that was lacking. They have also stated in a release that some environmental things, such as Texas State’s stadium, will be updated as they are not fully accurate as of now. Hopefully as EA continues to go through reference materials and update things like this, we can get a more a more authentic Texas tech game day experience.
