Hello everyone! I’m new here and I also agree with the fact that is very disappointing start to NCAA 25. I understand that they are trying to use the whole “ NIL” reasons of why they didn’t give us player editing… but first and foremost, most of players who are in the top 100 of the best players in college football are more than likely not even gonna be there after the first two seasons of dynasty as is…. That’s why being able to create our own recruits and have a chance to recruit them was such a enjoyed feature because it actually brought real immersion and a different type of satisfaction to be able to accomplish that. I still remember creating my own recruit and if I didn’t get him, I was more motivated to try again. It’s the joy of being to see and create different outcomes happen right in front of us when comes to this game that made ncaa 14 a revered game due to its Imaginative style and even allowing us to truly take control of the schools we wanted to take on. I personally have never made 99 overalls for my schools, if anything I’d do it for the schools I’d play against. That said, if I want to do so, it’s my choice because I’m the one who is on dynasty offline majority of the time and I also paid the money to do so. Dynasty becomes really stale after year 6 because now you only have the cpu generated recruits and a lot of them look like they should be worried about their families instead of actual high school recruits. And I’m offline more times than not, so I enjoyed the sandbox approach to the past ncaa games and being able to edit and play as I please. It’s what kept the game fresh and enjoyable to play. I just feel like it’s a major disservice to everyone who waited for 11 years for this game and for those who didn’t even get to see the game just for us to not even be able to create our own recruits and edit them. Plus, I’m a college athlete myself and the number one thing we all talk about is either” well, if I don’t get the right rating… then I’ll just do it myself” or “ I’m gonna put me and my family/ friends in the game and play/ play against them”… it’s a just one of the few topics we talk about when it comes to stuff like this and to see it missed like this is very disappointing.

We just need to keep asking for an update until we get a definitive answer on whether or not they will fix this issue. I am glad that it is being passed on but until I see the dev team publicly acknowledge and answer our question I am not going anywhere.

I would just appreciate a statement of any type. It seems obvious that they know lots of people are upset. Is there a reason for all of the locked editing options in Dynasty? If so, just tell us! I think everyone really appreciates when a company (gaming or otherwise) is straightforward and open with their customers.
There had to have been a reason for the lack of customization options. If it was legal concerns, or if it was time or technical issues, just say so. Personally, any statement would go a long way toward building some good will in light of how disappointed I am with this one aspect of a game that I would otherwise really enjoy. - rsoback942 years agoRising Hotshot
I just really wish they would just allow us to have the generate fake players option so it unlocks editing for everyone. They should do it next year. That'd be amazing. This is just sad, I also wish progressive lighting was in this game. It was in NCAA 11 even, that came out 14 years ago. Lol

@rsoback94I hate to say it but I saw your post and saw you talk about next years game and the words "next year" immediately replaced the words practice and playoffs in Allen Iverson and Jim Mora's famous rants. There is absolutely no way I'll let EA do this to me again. They're showing no good will to their consumers with communication as usual and they have released 2 small patches that do little to address any of the games major issues. They need to just start releasing these games 2 to 3 months later if they can't get them right on day one. I commend the people who have blinders and can manage to push through all of the horrible issues with game and continue to play it, I just cut my loses and took an L on it. I basically chalked it up to making a $70 bet on a game and the team I bet on utterly failed me.
- hkyplr112 years agoNew Adventurer@abcKRd733K9eNR Exactly! It’s very simple, they need to just state:
These are the following things we’re working on and these are the following things that aren’t changing at this time for [insert reason]. - gsmcc772 years agoSeasoned Novice
I just wish EA had thought about this more before they released the game and failed to include a major feature for all their dynasty mode players. EA has taken our pure excitement and ruined it. Reminds me of when Madden first dropped on PS3 and it took years for them to get it right. I hope you can patch in editing NIL players in Dynasty, if not y'all might lose quite a bit of money moving forward. I know I won't be buying anymore EA games at this point.

Yeah, I can’t lie, I’m starting to get serious buyers remorse here
- LCPLOC522 years agoSeasoned Scout@btmnyj811 Same here. I haven't played this game in over a week. I'm an offline player, and they've ruined it for me with all of the restrictions in dynasty mode. After reading that response from EA it wouldn't shock me if they didn't fix this issue.

Like a bad relationship, I want to love this game and EA has done the bare minimum to keep me around… but if they don’t value us and/or minimize our valid frustrations with a repeated and canned “We’ve passed it to our team”… eventually we have to be willing to walk away.

I too haven’t played in about a week. Just zero depth for me to want to put in the crazy hours I have in NCAA 14… there are several other issues but I could deal with them in the mean time if this was fixed. However it’s not vice versa for me. Fixing sim engines and all the other issues without addressing this will keep the game lingering in my library untouched. Unfortunately I do not expect EA to ever address this. Past experience on other games of theirs shows a horrendous track record. It’s just sad that they took a staple franchise so deeply loved and butchered it. Won’t be buying next year even if they add the editing back as a “new feature”. Faith is absolve rock bottom that they are in tune with their customer base. They have proven that with 5 of their other games before this. Almighty dollar wins, and ultimate teams will continue to take precedent over franchise type game modes. It’s sad because so many only play these game modes, but again cash is king. Oh well on to another studio that will put real effort into their games with their customer base in mind. Rant over…

@brad9211As much as the player editing feature is sorely missed (especially with the player generator for recruits and not being able to change numbers) I really think sim stats are much worse. Omitting player editing seems to have been a conscious choice they made, although it wasn't a good one. The sims stats and the sim engine being an absolute train wreck is a clear design flaw that they either never did the QC on or, they knew it was broken and hoped no one would care. It's like every team is an Air Raid team in simmed games.

With that lack of communication from the development team or the team on this forum on behalf of them, we’re forced to speculate. I’m starting to believe that it is seriously a programming issue… that things are broken enough that if they were to fix the bug they believe they would cause worse problems. I thought having that extra year and working on the same engine they develop everything on would result in a better title this year.
It’s so broken that even my wife is wondering why I don’t play it anymore after talking about it all summer…
- jfeev5082 years agoRising Hotshot@trengel I hear you man. I'm a big sports fan and I'm big on the under the hood stuff when it comes to sports titles.
I would rather decent gameplay with a robust franchise mode, systems within the mode that function correctly or options that allow me to correct what I think is wrong in "my little sports world" that I'm simulating. So when I'm locked into a system where I can't effect the rushing stats in my dynasty because the tools aren't there to allow me to it, that really bothers me. When I look at Madden for over a decade (if not longer) not finding a way to code it's game to allow for receiving backs to have a higher volume of receptions in simmed games, or the #2 RB/Power back not just being a short yardage option that almost always averages less than 4ypc, or find a way to tier the production of Running QBs based off of their raw ability (no reason why a QB can average 5-6ypc or more in their career but the games sim engine immediately drops that down to 3-4ypc), I don't see how you can have a company that has been development these games like 35 years, get these things so wrong and not even speak to why they are wrong or omitted.
I know the publishers of NBA 2K are terrible when it comes to the online modes with the microtransactions (or really any of their games that have online modes) but I at least feel like the options and depth of the MyNBA mode allows me to kind of make the league my own and it does that better than any of the sports games that I have played. This is my personal opinion and again I'm speaking strictly about the offline, single player franchise mode.
The launch of this game has been a disaster in my opinion. I'm all for people having different opinions about the game, enjoying it and tolerating the many issues it has; what I don't like is the fact that some of them act like we are wrong for simply expecting the game to function properly. Or do a better job at replicating a CFB season/ multiple seasons. - btmnyj8112 years agoSeasoned Veteran
I’m starting to get the sense that they’re just waiting for complaints to die out and not do anything, at least in regards to this
- trengel2 years agoRising Hotshot@jfeev508 Tremendously well said bud - NBA 2K definitely is the Holy Grail when it comes to single player dynasty sandbox. It keeps me buying every year because I know it’ll be solid and a fun customizable experience. They do add tiny things every year to make it better… like when they added whole staff hiring, and quick editing… EA is (and might not ever) be close to them.
