So I finished my first year in dynasty and got my recruits. I know you can’t edit jersey numbers for NIL players which I do understand.
But why can’t I edit my new recruits jersey numbers? I got a 60 OVR DE who probably won’t see the field who chose the #2. Is there any way to edit those? Please someone tell me if I’m doing something wrong
Has the Head Coach of my team I definitely should be able to change my player Jersey #’s. I have a 63 overall QB on the bench with the #1 on. This is upsetting to me.
I loved this game franchise for years and waited so long for this but there are some buggy things you need to fix ASAP. I am doing an offline Dyanasy as I have always enjoyed andf I certainly get not being able to change any players in the PLAY NOW, but in Dynasty you are supposed to have full control and still nothing. My major issues is with Jersey number sin offline Dynasty, somehow players changed their numbers and I can not change them back. I do not know if somehting GLITCHED or what but whern i Redshirted players befor my first season 5 players on my active roster changed their jersey numbers and I can mnot change them back. This is seriously starting to sour the whole experience of this game and why a lot of us fell in love with it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE try and fix this problem a lot of us are having
Yeah this is ridiculous, my corner back is wearing #48 and my LT is wearing #2 which has never before ever happened in history. Get it together EA
Yea agreed… there are so many threads and comments from the community talking about how this ruins immersion. Ratings and numbers is such a small thing to ensure immersion and replay-ability… especially if EA’s sim engine needs overhauled and the progression is off… but here we are with nothing but silence.
When a school wins but still drops 3 spots lol. It just takes the realism out. Think I’m gonna wait for that patch. Might have to start dynasties over anyway….EA please change this, hiesman voting (got a DT second place) and number editing and I think I can live with everything else…
There’s a workaround of sorts for new numbers.
If you have two players with the same numbers, you can edit anything on the one who’s number you don’t want to change, and the other one’s will automatically change.
I had an incoming elite dev QB, the CPU gave him #19. My kicker is also #19. Went in and changed my kicker’s cleats, and my QB’s number changed to #1. Did it with a couple other players as well.
Tell’s me that EA doesn’t have it coded it correctly for two players to have the same number. They only had 10 years to get the most basic of college traditions correct, our fault for expecting more.
It’s not ideal and it’s absolutely asinine that it even has to come down to that, but I figured I’d share. Hopefully it helps someone.
4 weeks later and I just ran into this same issue. It’s made my dynasty pretty much unplayable now. I legit have desire to run around with a quarterback with a number above 19.

Exactly. Like, the new recruits ARE NOT REAL PLAYERS! And it has nothing to do with ACTUAL incoming recruits and “naming players after them”. Because if THAT was a problem, you wouldn’t be able to use any name you want in road to glory.
