@HarerazerYou’re really weird for being this upset about something that is completely optional, no one is forcing this on you or any dynasty you start.
But I get the sense, like many of the other folks upset about this for some reason, you wanted a feature in the game that is still being ignored.
@btmnyj811100% this. I'm a scrub and I thank EA for implementing it.
I still desperately want to have the cap on coach skill progression removed. I still think having one is a MAJOR disincentive to having a dynasty mode, but having the ability to edit recruits (along with Mass Subs) was one of the single most requested changes and I am grateful to EA for providing it.
Anyone who is complaining is being kinda silly because you don't have to use it. It doesn't impact anyone AT ALL
Don't like? Don't use. Easy fix.
Do like? Now the option is there.
No brainer.I get the OPs point..not sure why editing player stats is such an important issue for a good majority and yep to me it means they just want to game the system. That said, yep I don't have to use it but I see how it could be an issue in online dynasties and how do you keep everyone honest?
Additionally, I think it would have been much better effort to solve the lack of ability to change #s vs editing the stats of recruits OR to add the functionality of formation subs
Just seems priorities are misaligned and could have been spent correcting 2 issues that have a bigger impact overall

Yes, it's optional but you know what else is optional? Answering this post but you felt the need to do it in a totally non-constructive way. Also, your assumption is 100% incorrect. There is no "feature" that's not in the game that I want to be in. Why? Because I want the game to be as authentic as possible and as the developers intended the game to be, not patched because a bunch of coddled babies whined about not getting their way.Bro… I don’t think there is a “constructive” way to respond to your post. the positive is now all the people who wanted the feature will buy the game again vs boycotting the game killing sales and said future of the game. Be glad it’s added so you can continue to play this and future games where you can grind super hard for your recruits just like your heart desires. Video games are fun after all.

The game can still be as much of a grind as you want it to be, that’s the beauty of having the element of choice. I enjoy having the freedom to start a dynasty where I can mess around and experiment with players every now and then. It affects no one else but me.
so again, enjoy your grind fest, I’m happy you have the ability to play the game how you want to play it.
@btmnyj811 it’s a mental illness lol. My guy is losing sleep screaming and punching the air right now that I have mid Tennessee state with all one star recruits with 99 overall everything killing the virtual competition in my offline dynasty. I’m dying lol.

I think it’s more the fact that this game has so many “REAL DYNASTY FLAWS “ that something so mundane that has no bearing on making game play better was the point that was being made .
i mean how bad is the penalty sliders ?
how bad is the coaching carousel?how bad is the recruiting system ( where every team over recruits ) ?
how bad is the blocking ( run and pass ) ?
how bad is coach progression?
no ability to edit coaches ?
that should have been the focal point of ALL THE PATCHES. And clearly they weren’t
and it was the roster junkies that got what they wanted ( which good for them I guess) it’s not like they can share rosters or export draft classes so what’s the point ? that’s the issue I have with that lame argument for roster editing
