Increase Coach Skills Cap
I know others may have posted this, but the level 50 coach skills cap needs to be increased. 1. I understand the interest to cap skills to make it realistic, but a coach like Nick Saban would have a...
Bumping this up since I still consider it to be one of the single highest priority needs for the game.
Well...just wanted to point that not everyone agrees with this request. I think there are changes than can be made to improve coach progression, but I like the coach skill cap. They do a pretty good job of explaining why and how it works here:
That doesn't mean we shouldn't request that they make it a toggle in dynasty settings where you can turn it on and off, which would probably make everyone happy.
All I need is an additional 36 points to make what I would consider a fair build that I could REALLY enjoy playing.
This doesn't seem like a big ask.
As an alternative, let us pick the upgrades for noon user coaches on our staff or let us reallocate once or twice.
But the cap should be much higher.
You think guys who spent their whole lives coaching like Paterno or Bowden wouldn't have been the equivalent of a level 75 or 100.
EA: in the immortal words of Dave Bautista:
"GIVE US WHAT WE WANT!!!"
I'm not even against them keeping the level cap, but scale the points earned based on level.
Levels 1-10 5 points = 50 total
11-20 10 points = 100 total
21-30 15 points = 150 total
31-40 20 points = 200 total
41-50 25 points = 250 total
This would give us 750 skill points over our career instead of 500 to really open up the coach tree at the higher levels. It would also help make the high-level coaches stand out. I think there should also be a "master" skill in every category that you could just pick when you hit level 50. Somewhat of a culmination of your growth as a coach. Also, get rid of the purchasing new categories. Unlock them when we accomplish the tasks.
Or just give the players the ability to set the level cap and skill points earned per level. More customization is never a bad thing.
