“Delay Sunday” Coach Ability Not Working – Juniors Still Leaving for Draft

Question

I unlocked and activated the “Delay Sunday” ability in Dynasty Mode, which is supposed to reduce the chance of players leaving early for the NFL Draft. However, after multiple tests, it clearly doesn’t work.

Here’s exactly what I did:

Purchased the ability and saved progress

Simulated through offseason with juniors, and even some sophomores projected as 1st-round picks

Watched them leave early no change at all compared to simulations without the ability

There’s no visible effect from this perk. If it’s supposed to reduce early departures, it’s either not functioning or the percentage is so small that it’s meaningless.

I've also noticed the same issue in college football 25 last year

Please confirm:

1. Is this a known issue with the “Delay Sunday” ability?

2. Is the feature currently broken or functioning as designed?

3. Will this be addressed in an upcoming patch?

This is affecting Dynasty gameplay and coach progression. A fix or official clarification would be appreciated.

I also find that all of the Roster Retention abilities do not work nearly as well as they did in College Football 25, if they are working at all.

These three abilities cost 48 XP. Besides the uselessness of obtaining them if they don't work, the high cost of them to not work is super annoying.

I have all three Roster Retention abilities in place. And every season have Sophomores projected for rounds 4 and below with "None" for a persuasion chance, with ratings in the 90 or so range. And will often have Juniors in the 89-93 range for rounds 2-3 with None for persuasion chance.

I regularly have fewer than 10 graduating seniors, because I'll have another 10 players from Sophomore and Junior classes with None for persuasion chance leave in the draft, many in rounds 2-7.

If a Soph/Junior player has the elite dev trait, they may hit low high 80 or low 90 rating, never or rarely play because they are behind a rating 92+ Senior, then leave with a mid-draft evaluation. it is super frustrating and makes roster management very, very difficult.
