Cannot Start Online Dynasty

I am trying to start an online dynasty so I can use a team builder team I built and I cannot start one because I'm being pushed to buy Xbox Game Pass (which I do have already). I do not understand why I would need the game pass to access a version of this game that I bought and paid for already.
