Player Auto-Subbed out of games before they start

I am doing a Michigan run-through, and after the 3rd game of the season, Justice Haynes was moved to 6th on the depth chart, with no injury. I put him at first and loaded the game, but it didn't give him a single snap. I was playing him in every previous game, but now it will not let him play a single down. Any solutions?
