This is the stupidest thing ever 2 months of the same issue… so unfair to the customer
I'm sorry, I understand it's not the easiest thing in the world to deal with an online community, and it is not your job to work on the dav side of things.
But on our end this situation is unacceptable. This is not some minor bug, this is making a game that is advertised to be part of a subscription absoultely unplayable, and I genuinely doubt EA lack the resources to fix this. It should be a priority for the dev team

EA_Barry, when the game first became available on Xcloud, I subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate to play. Immediately, I was hit with the EA trial expiration. It became so tedious that I eventually canceled my Game Pass subscription for a full refund, since it had already been almost 2 weeks with no progress in fixing the issue. I do own EA Play Pro for PC, and my EA account is linked to my Xbox account. Now over 2 months later and zero movement by the EA team to fix this bug.
I was playing through the Xbox app on my Windows 11 PC btw.

Recently downloaded cfb 26 via Xbox game pass ultimate and haven’t been able to play as everytime I open it I get told to sign into the account that downloaded the game despite already being in it.
have tried everything from power cycles to reinstalling and signing in and out of accounts and still nothing.
been an issue for almost a week now and is crazy that it hasn’t been resolved or even acknowledged by ea.

A couple months ago the game would ask me to upgrade even though I owned the game. Now it get a trial message and have to sign out and in to play the game. Now on top of the trial message I keep losing connection to EA servers.

Hey Barry,
I'm sure this isn't your favorite thread in the world right now, so I appreciate your persistence with the regular posts, given that the investigation has been ongoing for over 2 months. I also understand that, technically, none of us are entitled to the game because, as users, we agree that the game is software we are licensed to use, with no guarantee of "quality service." Which I interpret to mean that nothing can work, and we agree that's alright. Basically, we throw our money at something and just kind of cross our fingers that something we like comes out. It's sort of similar to a wishing fountain/well. I hope that illustrates a little bit how we feel here, and that you can empathize with that. I can tell from many of your posts that you're a chill guy and clearly dedicated to EA. Being a part of anywhere for 13 years is incredible.
All I'd really ask for in this "wishing well" scenario here is whether or not this unskippable trial message has been reproduced by the team? If not, I wonder if there's anything we could do as a community to help resolve the problem faster? I'm much more interested in giving whatever information is needed to help speed this along. I think many will read this thread and not comment because they, similarly, don't know how to help. I just hope my wish comes true, even if it takes another two months.
*Obligatory issue notes: I have a PC, I have Game Pass Ultimate with EA Play included, and I attempted to stream the game using Xbox Cloud Gaming. Upon starting the game, I get the same image everyone else does, describing that I have the trial version and that I'm all out of time. It also did not work in my web browser. My friend with the exact same setup couldn't get it to work either. Funny enough, neither of us had ever played the game before, so we didn't even get a "trial" in the first place. Cloud gaming seems to have the worst of it, because many of the workarounds that I have found only apply to those with an Xbox and a downloaded licensed software.*

I think we would appreciate more clarity into this instead of repeating the same message for three months. If I did this at my job, I would be fired.

I am getting the same error. I also attempted to unlink and link to a different account and now it got me into even more of a bind because EA wont allow me to unlink my now incorrect XBOX account. ***There also is no option to select "upgrade." it just forces me to sign out and sign back in, but its the right account linked to XBOX....

I bought cfb26 when the game first dropped, I also have a subscription to ea play. Now for the last week anytime I try to load up the game, I get a message saying the trial can only be played on the account that downloaded it. I’m the account who downloaded it. I not only purchased the game but have the subscription for ea. what a waste of money. What am I supposed to do?

I’m having the same issue. I used to be able to just click through to the store and it would let me back in. Now after every game I either have to sign out and go back in and or go into a different game then reload into ncaa. We should get some type of discount for 27 with this. It’s so annoying. Also can’t even play ultimate team cause it says I’m on a trial
