DYASTY MODE FEATURE IDEAS: NIL, FACILITIES, DISCIPLINE, CAMPUS WALK-AROUND

NCAA 2027 : I wanted to share several realistic feature ideas that could take dynasty mode to a new level! These are all systems that fit modern college football and could evolve over multiple game cycles.

  1. NIL SYSTEM: schools should have different NIL budgets based on program size and prestige. Bigger programs have more resources which directly affects recruiting and retention.
  2. FACILITY UPGRADES: allow coaches to invest in upgrading facilities (weight room, locker room, indoor, training center) better facilities improve player development and lead to long-term advantages.

  3. PLAYER DISCIPLINE: add realistic discipline scenarios (academic issues, team violations). Coaches can then choose from an array of decisions varying from suspend, play, dismiss from team, with real consequences for team morale, media perception and wins.

  4. WALKABLE CAMPUS HUB: similar to NBA 2K my city/neighborhood concept. Each school has a unique campus area where the coach can walk around. Stadium practice facility academic buildings adding immersion in school personality. For big games, they could walk through tailgates to the stadium so much could be done with this if done right.
  5. TEAM CULTURE / MORALE: track team chemistry work ethic leadership and discipline. Strong culture boosts performance, weak culture leads to issues like laziness locker room tension, and inconsistency. This can also be tied into disciplinary actions from the player discipline section.

  6. BOOSTERS: add a booster component that is a part of feeding into facility upgrades, NIL funds, and other program perks. There could be specific goals in order to keep them happy if goals are met, money comes in for the program, if not money decreases, and so does job security. Managing Booster relationships ads realism.

In closing,

Adding these features would take dynasty mode to another level and make EA sports college football, the most immersive sports game in the history of gaming. These additions would greatly enhance realism engagement, guard against burnout and potential board repetitive cycles, and elevate the game we love for the millions of fans who play.

  • Clarification for the facilities: everything would operate in a tier system from 1-5. Different schools would have different tears for example. A MAC school like Akron would have typically a tier one training facility whereas Ohio State would have a tier 5 facility. Each facility comes with benefits such as tier 1 = +1 speed +1 strength etc. whereas a tier 5 facility would give players + 5 speed +5 strength.

this could be done with an academic building (awareness etc)

speaking of academic buildings, schools with higher prestige in terms of education such as Duke would have a better academic center, but lesser training facilities, locker room etc

    Practice facilities, training rooms etc.

With money from the Booster’s/NIL section coaches would then choose where to allocate their funds. You could spend it entirely on your roster or on your coaching staff or spend it on upgrading facilities or you could try to split it between your players and upgrading facilities, better facilities, better recruits, and ultimately better results.
