Fix Coach Mode or Stop Pretending

The current Coach Mode in CFB 25 is garbage. If it's the same in 26, please just call it something else. Coach Mode means you play the coach only. Not "sort of" control the players. Even if you leave the controller alone, it just doesn't work. How many times a game does the QB drop back and just stand there waiting to be sacked? Ever try to run an option? Oh, and don't forget you still have to kick. Clicking the wrong button creates a result so ridiculous it destroys any semblance of realism.

What's most frustrating is they already have this. It existed a decade ago and worked perfectly. Even on the current game, it's really no different than a CPU controlled team. You just call the plays. So it isn't an issue of development resources or time. It's a matter of cutting corners and trying to make a couple extra bucks by not including features. It's EA being EA.

    One would think as much as the game costs each time and year... that full functionality and feature from 2014 game developed would have been carried over. Unfortunately,  less is more... it appears.

    Honest question what's the fun in coach mode? 

    Why not just live bet on a real game instead?

    I'll give an honest answer. Coach Mode, as it was in the earlier NCAA Football game (and even in older Madden) is about as close to simulating the role of coach as you can get. You are still responsible for recruiting, game plan, player development. During the game, you are calling every play. Making every decision that a sideline makes. The only thing you don't do is control the actual players on the field. That means no wild Tecmo Bowl scramble waiting for someone to get open. No hitting the wrong button and throwing to the wrong receiver. No insane missed kicks. You put the players in position to succeed, and then they have to execute. Just like a real game. The game stops being about my reactions with a controller and becomes completely about my ability to manager and coach a team.
