Recruiting is definitely more difficult in '26 than '25. In '25 I was able to recruit 17 5-star recruits one season, that was a silly crazy team. What I find helps is do not go after all 35 spots at the start as you need to distribute the points around. I usually offer 25-27 scholarships and in the first few weeks 25-30 points per recruit. I usually tend to stick to top choices or pipeline recruits. The moment I have all 3 green checkmarks, I will do a soft sell and a 10pt. If they are a 5-star, I will use whatever remaining points on them. Once they have their top 3, I switch to Hard sells. In '26 I have started doing visits more often as they sometimes cost less ('25 was a flat 40pts), but I usually use my points with other actions. IN my first 2 seasons, I ended up with 15-17 recruits and filled out my roster with another 15-17 transfers.
Even with this method that was very successful in '25, does not work out as well in '26. I just finished my 2nd season and finally was in the top 5 recruiting class. Hopefully this new season I can get another top 5 to open Master Recruiter to go with Program Builder and CEO that I am doing a build of. Maybe recruiting will become more easy with the Master Recruiter unlocked.
