I would honestly pay $100 for CFB27 on PC

To be honest that would be a very good price just to avoid having to buy a console.  As a PC gamer, I'd never be able to justify spending 400-500 bucks on a play station just to get new cfb games.  (I haven't played 25 nor 26).  If they don't have it on PC for the third year in a row, I know a lot of people claim it's because of modders.  But lot's of not licensed sports games do stuff where they'll have "community made section" with teams and rosters and stuff where they are very explicit about not being responsible about it because it's community made.  And if it's off-platform modding without official support (as it would likely be), how responsible is EA for monitoring it and shutting it down?  I'm not a lawyer so I genuinely don't know.  I know that sports games don't get a large % of revenue from PC gamers, but Madden which has the same engine is.  And at this point they've had 3 years.  Makes no sense to me...

Anyways if anyone hears any rumors or anything let me know pls.

  • To answer your question zero liability when it comes to the ai generated players. I would have to review the nil agreements with players if they could be edited or not. If not that’s poor contract writing on EAs part. Who the heck purchases a likeness and can do anything with it lol. I wrote a paper in pre law on this case against EA back in the day. It all had to do with EA making rosters themselves similar to players other than adding names. Court found them making profit without compensation and therefore awarded the suit. All that said don’t get your hopes up. The game coming to PC has nothing to do with liability unless it has to do with a poor agreement with real players. Again, that’s an easy fix when folks sign up for their likeness to be used in game. The fact that the current ai fake recruits can’t have their appearance edited from a black guy with a blonde beard tells me they have zero worry about giving dynasty players the sandbox the old games were. We have moved to a new age of gaming unfortunately that revolve around profit game modes such has cut. With a sell to PE in the process I see things going even further down this path as I have worked along side many PE entities and they do not care one bit about how they are perceived as long as the cash is coming in. Hope this helps with what to expect. Best bet is to continue to hold out on buying in anyway until EA sees a change in profits and is forced to give customers what we are requesting. Think madden years back when they went on a huge we hear you campaign after a big portion of franchise players boycotted the game. Sad it takes us doing that when there is countless threads on here with amazing additions to the game that the customer base is coming up with only to fall on deaf ears. Long winded, don’t count on any PC release not due to liability but due to they can’t even get the game to function on current platforms much less porting. Too much investment with to little return. Hope you and your family have a wonderful holidays!

  • Point case… look at the above reply. Worried about “competition” and “unfair advantage” for competitive online play. Most pc players I know don’t give a rip to play online against people. They want deep dynasty sandbox, but to address his concerns also a simple fix. Enable the ability to disable crossplay from platforms to pc as other games do everyday. No excuse to not come to PC….

Hey thanks for your reply!  It was very enlightening.  If it came on pc I don't think I'd touch online play a single time I just want dynasty😂  Happy holidays

Cross play can be disabled. The issue is you can just download the Xbox app on your PC. Play the game and show up as an Xbox player on a PC. It's BS.
