Update on my situation, Walmart wanted me to send back my game so they could resend a new game which would generate a new code. They unable to generate a new code without a new game. I proceeded to tell them that didnt make sense because the game works fine, I need a new code that you guys emailed to me. It dont make sense I have a ps5 game and you are saying EA generated a XBox code for a ps5 game.
And it was a pre order bonus, new orders aren't getting this.
Don't agree to this. I just got my replacement and they didn't generate a new code at all. I am now going back to Wal Mart customer service to see if they'll be able to generate any code at all this time.
It was a pre order exclusive, new orders will never get a code. Unfortunately unless someone steps up we seem to just be SOL

Same situation with me. They , Walmart, are sending another game. Supposed to be a new code. We'll see. This whole situation is f'd up. Not sure if what Walmart is doing, by sending another game and code, will work. It doesn't make sense how that would work since it was a preorder thing. Hopefully, somehow the new code will be legit. The original code i got was 25 characters. I read that it's for Xbox. I wonder if the Xbox dudes got our ps5 codes while we got theirs. Ea and Walmart can make this right. If they cared.
They wanted me to send back my game too and I refuse to do that. Please let us know if that works
The new game is supposed to be delivered on Monday 21st. Code should also come in that day. I'll update with the results. I never had to send my original game back. I asked to speak with the "manager" of the customer service call center folks and thats where it lead. They said they'd just send a new game and that should generate a new code.
